LED Configuration
The Beam provides a combination of white, blue, red, and green LEDs. The 7,000k daylight white LED illuminates the entire aquarium. In addition to providing standard aquatic lighting, it includes 650nm-660nm red LEDs, blue LEDs, and green LEDs to simulate natural light.
Plant Supporting-True 660nm Red LEDs
Red light is the second main contributor to photosynthesis. Unlike most cheaper LED options, ShinMao incorporate true 630nm-660nm red LEDs. According a NASA study: Red Light (630nm-660nm) is essential for the growth of stems, as well as the expansion of leaves. This wavelength also regulates flowering, dormancy periods, and seed germination.
